Project developed during an interaction design class at SUPSI – Lugano. The brief was to choose one aspect of our life that is digitally recorded and to find an interesting and informative way to represent it. I decided to focus on the communication of emotions, and in particular on their representation in the form of emoji. To do so, I took the entire messages database from my phone and extracted every single emoji. Then I explored all this data and condensed it visually in the form of this infographic. On the front, statistics and charts try to make sense of the information, while on the back, I reproduced all the emoji in chronological order. Then I also developed a little augmented reality app that provides some additional details.
